In Memory of Lenora Thompson Talley

Lenora Thompson Talley, a loving mother, grandmother of two, daughter, sister, friend, and co-worker, became a Youth Homes foster parent in 1995. She was the "mother of all mothers" to everyone she knew, offering comfort, counsel, and love. Lenora died on July 24, 1998, but what she instilled in her children (both birth and foster) would live forever.  In memory of Lenora, her family, including her daughters Le'Kisha Talley Stevenson and Davelyn Talley, has created the Lenora Thompson Talley Scholarship Fund. Lenora knew and believed that education is one thing that no one can take from you no matter where you come from or where you are going. It is Le'Kisha's and Davelyn's hope that this scholarship will help other foster parents guide children to a brighter future by providing funding for their education.
