Social Worker Position
YHI seeks qualified candidate for fulltime
Social Worker vacancy. This position maintains
caseload responsibilities and accountability
for providing direct social work services in
a culturally sensitive and competent manner
to each client-family assigned, and requires
significant in-home contact for the purpose
of providing direct services, including but
not limited to the following: Comprehensive
Assessment; Service Plan Development, Implementation,
and Monitoring; Individual and Family Counseling;
Problem Solving Counseling; Skill-building
Education and Training; Parenting Education
and Training; Home Maker Services; Case Management;
Advocacy; Support Services; and Aftercare and
Follow-up Services. The overall goal of these
services is to stabilize and strengthen client-family
systems and eliminate the need for out-of-home
placement, support reunification, promote permanency,
reduce/prevent delinquency, and/or develop
self-sufficiency.
Requirements and Credentials: Candidates must
be able to work independently in setting and
organizing responsibilities and effectively
self monitor performance; Function as part
of a programmatic and agency team and provide
support to colleagues as needed; Implement
a very flexible work schedule that includes
non-traditional business hours; Shared 24/7
on call responsibilities as part of a crisis
response team; Possess effective verbal and
written skills; Possess a valid driver’s
license and have a vehicle to use to fulfill
employment responsibilities; Bachelor’s
degree in Human Services plus experience required;
Masters degree is preferred. Pre service training
in this evidence based model is provided to
the successful candidate. Competitive salary

There are more than 1000 children in our community that need caring foster homes to live in. Youth Homes Inc. (YHI) has a 33 year history in Charlotte providing high quality services to children/youth who need short term care. YHI provides excellent training and licensing services to prepare families for serving our youth. Currently, we are specifucally looking for a couple that would provide a caring home for up to three boys for short term/crisis care. YHI would provide 24/7 support as well as an attractive compensation package to offset the costs attached to serving these youth. In fact, the compsensation is more than equivilent to full time employment.
